I'm working on Meera's bai's song Barsai Badariya and that inspired me to write this poem today. Even the warlike rain to Meera is a remembrance of her love.
In the battle of the skies
the clouds swarm in
from all four directions
thunder follows lightening
Peace is found on the run
and darkness on the sprawl
But When cannons are fired
rose petals gently fall
Then surrender of true beauty
lets a pleasant wind blow
incensing everything
that comes in its flow
Meera unites with Krishna
with each note of Malhar
so bring it on again,
O rain Gods, your war
