Do You Ever Wonder
Do you ever wonder
why the stars seem to blink,
as if they’re in on some cosmic joke
we'll never quite grasp?
Do you ever wonder
how the trees talk to each other,
rustling secrets through their leaves,
whispering ancient stories
we’ve long forgotten?
Do you ever wonder
if the ocean knows our names,
each wave a syllable,
calling us home
to the depths of our origins?
Do you ever wonder
if the sun grows tired,
yawning as it sinks below the horizon,
ready to rest,
but knowing it must rise again?
Do you ever wonder
why we chase after time,
as if we could catch it,
hold it still in our hands,
and make it last forever?
Do you ever wonder
if the birds sing for us,
or if they simply sing
because they must,
unaware of our ears tuned to their melodies?
Do you ever wonder
what the moon sees
when it peeks through your window at night,
a silent guardian
over your dreams?
Do you ever wonder
if the clouds are just passing through,
or if they pause,
even for a moment,
to admire the world beneath them?
Do you ever wonder
if the earth feels our footsteps,
each step a tiny echo,
a reminder that we are here,
even if only for a brief while?
Do you ever wonder
if we are the question
or the answer,
or if, perhaps,
we are both,
caught in the endless dance
of wondering?
